Ruth M. Henthorne

DALTON – Ruth M. Henthorne, age 79, passed away on July 1, 2021.

Born on May 4, 1942 in Clarington, OH to the late John and Emma (Conner) Gilmore, she was a resident of Dalton since 2000, previously of East Greenville for 42 years.  Retiring from Volvo/White Heavy Truck in Orrville after 31 years of service, she loved going to the game rooms and playing the lottery.

Preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Allen in 1999; brothers, Earl, Homer, Dale, and Virgil Gilmore; sisters, Anna Hart, Virginia Gilmore, and Jessie Gilmore, she is survived by her sons, John (Sheila) Henthorne of Dalton, Allen Jr. (Debra) Henthorne of Wooster; grandchildren, Emily Henthorne, Nathan Henthorne, Melissa Henson, Jeremy (Dawn) Klump, Charlene (Brandon) Hochstetler; great grandchildren, Savannah, Rikki, Lilly, Kinsley, Khyla, Kalynn, Sylas, Shane, Mason, Porsche, Austin, Cooper; great-great granddaughter, Aria; brother, Charles (Sue) Gilmore of Marshallville; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton, OH, 44618 with Pastor Dan Hostetler, officiating.  Burial will take place at Pleasant View Mennonite Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time on Wednesday.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
