Steven L. Stuper

DOYLESTOWN - Steven L. Stuper, age 81, passed away on May 20, 2026.

He was born on November 9, 1944 in Geneva, OH to the late Walter T. and Vesta (Jerome) Stuper and was a resident of Doylestown for 20 years, previously of Wadsworth.  A veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Marine Corp, he retired from Valtris Chemical after 38 years of service.  Steven was a member of the Kingdom Living Christian Church in Massillon where he loved to show off his talents in playing the guitar.  He enjoyed playing golf and camping with his family and friends and spending time with the retirees from Valtris as they would meet each month for lunch.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Donna Stuper.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Susan; son, Steven T. Stuper of Cleveland; daughter, Melissa A. (David) Pinney of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Megan (Mark) Mackura, Devin Stuper, Austin Pinney, T.J. Stuper, Danny (Katherine) Pinney, Jazmyne (Jason) Crouch; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, W. James Stuper, Ronald Stuper, Robert “Bobby” Shannon; sister, Mary Ann Daugherty; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A private committal service with military honors will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date via this website.
