Theodore Guy Burkey II, age 71 of Doylestown, passed away on May 8, 2026 in his home surrounded by loved ones.
He was born in Chicago, Il to his late parents, Theodore Guy Sr. and Pauline (Perkins) Burkey on February 15, 1955 and was a life-long resident of Doylestown.
Ted attended Chippewa High School and worked most of his life for Sandridge Food Corporation in Medina, OH where he retired after many years of service. He loved to fish on Lake Erie, but his passion was working on his 1969 Chevy Nova and then taking it to car shows for all to see. Ted was a big sports fan of all the Ohio Teams, but especially The Ohio State Buckeyes.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters, Angie Simmons, Rebecca Burkey; brother, Donald Burkey. He is survived by his significant other, Marilyn Graybill; sons, Theodore G. Burkey III, Joseph (Katie) Burkey; grandchildren, Brynton, Alexandra, and Aubree Burkey, Chloe, Joey, and Austin Burkey, Allison Graybill (Jason) and Brandon Graybill; sisters, Jenice (Jeff) McEndree, Shirley (Bob) Hopkins, Phyllis “Ginny” Summers (Dave Conrow); sister-in-law, Christine Burkey; many special nieces and nephews.
Ted’s children would like to give a special thanks to Shirley, Bob, and Marilyn for taking such great care of him throughout his illness.
