Therese M. Worrell-Leslie

NEW FRANKLIN – Therese M. Worrell-Leslie, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2020 from complications of Covid-19.

Born on September 21, 1963 in Barberton to the late David and Jeanette (Bozak) Krunich, she was a resident of New Franklin for 20 years, previously of Barberton.  A 1990 graduate of Aultman School of Nursing, Therese was employed by Buckeye Health Plan for the last ten years as a case manager and was previously an RN in the MICU / SICU units at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center.  Devoted to her family, she loved to travel, make bread, spend time in her garden, and play with her dogs, Dakota, Lexie, and Sophie.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Steven; daughters, Julia Worrell, Jordan Worrell both of New Franklin; sisters, Christine “Chris” (Jeff) Pontius of Rittman, Kathy (Joe) Acosta of Norton; nieces, Sydney, Jocelyn; nephew, Seth; special friends Tim and Joanna VanEck; Suzanne Worrell, Chuck Worrell and the Worrell Family; other family and many dear friends.

A private service will be held at this time by the family with interment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Doylestown, OH.  A celebration of life service to honor the memory of Therese and bring together her many dear friends will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a Local Humane Society of ones choosing.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
