DOYLESTOWN – Thomas L. Cook, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2021.
Born on February 13, 1948 in Akron to the late Leo and Gladys (Wolff) Cook, he was a life-long resident of Doylestown. Tom retired from P.P.G. Co. in Barberton and had previously worked for Goodyear and Firestone Tire and Rubber. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Massillon Eagles, Sons of Herman in Massillon, and Barberton Moose Lodge #759. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Kennedy.
In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Cook. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Jason) Pantea of Dalton; granddaughter, Kennedy Pantea; son, Andrew (Megan) Varner and their children, Wyatt & Reid of Kidron; daughter, Marie (Floyd) Barnhart and their son, Nolan of Massillon; sisters, Ellen (Bob) Leidy of Barberton, Sue (Glen) Fiscus of Doylestown; other family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton Rd., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris, celebrant. Burial to take place at the church cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230.
