DOYLESTOWN – Thomas A. Pogvara, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2026.
He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph and Silvia (Stupovsky) Pogvara, and was a resident of Doylestown for 40 plus years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service at the Doylestown office, and was a rural carrier for over 30 years. Tom had a passion for music and radio contests, which took him to many concerts and musical events. He always loved any kind of outdoor or social event that would let him hang out with his family and friends and enjoyed following all of the Chicago sports teams.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph. He is survived by his beloved son, Tim Pogvara (Kayla Hogston) of Rittman; grandchildren, Addison and Blake Pogvara; brothers, John (Susan), Mike (Judy), Pete (Diane), Marty (Rose) Pogvara all of IL; sister, Pauline (Ralph) Cummings of Chippewa Lake, OH; sister-in-law, Laura Pogvara of IL; many nieces nephews other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Jerry Butcher, officiating.
