DOYLESTOWN – Thomas Edward Provchy, age 66, passed away on May 1, 2022.
Born on July 6, 1955 in Wadsworth, OH, he was a resident of Doylestown since 1996 previously of North Canton. Tom had been a general manager for Pilot Travel Centers and was previously a general manager at Parasson’s Restaurant. A 1974 graduate of Barberton High School, he was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fairlawn and enjoyed fishing, watching basketball, and the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He loved to be around family and hosting gatherings with his wife Diane, especially during Christmas Eve at their home. Tom enjoyed his walks with his dog Charlie.
Preceded in death by his father, Daniel Provchy, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diane; children, Melissa Provchy (Nate) of Wadsworth, Jonathon (Julia) Provchy of Massillon, Jennifer and Kevin Provchy both of Doylestown; grandchildren, Isabella, Collin, Lorelei, Danny, Alice, and one on the way; mother, Patricia (Bobby) Silket of Barberton; sisters, Debbie (Greg) Lytz of NC, Kathy (Tim) Harp of Barberton; brother, Dan Provchy (fiancée, Brenda Stefanica) of Rittman; other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St., Akron, OH, 44313, with Rev. Susan Tiffany, officiating. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, 44230.
