SMITHVILLE – Wesley “David” Kolby, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2021.
Born on November 21, 1947 in Toledo, OH to the late Wesley E. and Dorothy M. (Herron) Kolby, he was a long-time resident of Smithville. An antique dealer for over 50 years, David had graduated from the Ohio State University, ATI, with an Associate of Applied Science degree, and technical degree in computer science, and was a trained beekeeper and enjoyed working in his garden. He was also a United States Army veteran, who served in the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Denise; brother in-law, Chuck Naumann. He is survived by his daughters, Desiree Geltzer of Columbus, Jasmine (Brad) Stumpp of Norton; grandchildren, Albie, and Dansby; siblings, Leslie Meyer of Holland, OH, Lyn Naumann of Maumee, OH, Kurt (Barb) Kolby of FL; nieces, nephews, and other family.
